Fish farming sector may register peak demand in global nanobubble generator market

What are nanobubbles?

Nanobubbles are extremely small bubbles, about 2,500 times smaller than a grain of salt. All but invisible to the naked eye, the little orbs are no longer large enough to float to the water surface. With properties closer to colloidal particles (small solid particles suspended in a fluid phase) than bubbles, they become neutrally buoyant and can remain suspended in the water column for months, saturating chosen levels of water with oxygen.

Nanobubbles are created by diffusing compressed oxygen into fast-flowing water, which further spreads and dissolves bubbles. Nanobubble generators have an oxygen transfer efficiency of up to 85%, nearly 30 times the rate of traditional aerators. This is significantly higher than other advanced oxygenation systems.

The generators offer advantages in aquaculture by increasing stocking densities without compromising water quality, while potentially reducing the effects of pathogens.

Nanobubble generators are being used for commercial and industrial purposes around the world. Since it tends to reduce the amount of musk-grass from the ponds and maintains a continuous flow of water and likely to provide the better life to the fishes and aquatic creatures. The utilisation of nanobubble generator in ponds and fish farm controls the quality of water, and tends to reduce the risk of thermocline. Since it circulates the water continuously from the surface to bottom, hence the temperature of upper and lower layers gets balanced. Hence this device is used for maintaining the temperature equilibrium in the ponds, to provide a better facility to aquatic lives.

The less amount of dissolved oxygen in aquarium and ponds is likely to generate a rotten egg smell and anticipated to affect the aquatic lives. The nanobubbles technique helps in boosting the dissolve oxygen content in aquarium and small tanks. This is attributed to attract the large number of consumers across the globe.

The applications such as waste water treatment, hydroponicsirrigation in agriculture and horticulture industries, is creating significant demand, and likely to follow the same trajectory during the forecast period.

The global nanobubble market is divided into seven prominent regions, including North America, Latin America, Europe, East Asia, South Asia, Oceania and Middle East and Africa.
